We are a family run, service-based agency based within 4 town centres within the West Midlands. Oldbury (Head Office) Wolverhampton, Kidderminster and Coventry. We specialise within the sectors of Industrial, Driving and Office Based Recruitment. Within our first three years of trading, we’ve grown from a team of 2 to a team of 23, with over 250 years of combined experience split across our 4 branches.

Within our team we have a variety of different skills and expertise ready to meet and exceed our candidates and client’s expectations.
Our Story
Modern Edge Recruitment was formed in 2020 by 2 lifelong best friends Chris Owen and Lee Washbrook. Having always promised one another to go into business together, we finally took the plunge after the global pandemic. We believe our previous work background and experience within service delivery and recruitment gives us a unique partnership which is to the benefit of our clients. We have since strengthened our business by bringing in additional leadership with some of the best individuals within the industry.
Our Vision
Our mindset from the very start has been to be good employers who have extremely well paid and happy staff. We provide our team with excellent working hours and promote a work life balance. We do our upmost to provide a friendly work environment with incentives for all of our staff to earn additional salary. We have detailed training matrix’s in place to help develop our consultants, we believe that we can provide real time and regular training to each of our staff members, developing each individuals career rapidly.

1) A Driving manager that we hired, has been promoted numerous times and is now a Regional Director of our business.
2) 2 other experienced people within the industry that we have helped onto the ladder & made them directors of their own branches.
3) Helping a Uni graduate to become one of the youngest Regional office & compliance managers in the UK.
4) Internally trained and promoted 2 staff members from Consultants to Branch Managers.
5) We awarded over 20 different payrises or promotions throughout 2025.
6) We have grown our business to now exceed over a 12million pound turnover.

Company Ethos
Our ethos is to work locally, providing our clients with quality of service and candidates with relevant job roles that suit their skills. We will always go the extra mile for our clients and candidates with strong communication being a particular strength of ours. We like to call ourselves “The Service Agency”.

Within our first 3 years, we have already helped 3 talented individuals to become Directors and awarded many other promotions to our current staff at Modern Edge Recruitment.
